始まりよ

First of all, an introduction: this blog will roughly and loosely chronicle my travels throughout Japan for the next 5-6 months, ideally with pictures and with more than a couple posts. I'll do my best to keep it updated, but who knows how much time I'll have? We'll certainly find out soon after my arrival, I imagine.

I received a scholarship for this trip, where myself and two others are provided an allowance, accommodation, etc. to study and teach in the Aichi Gakusen daigaku(college) in the Aichi prefecture in Japan(south-west of Tokyo). I consider myself very lucky to have been chosen and plan to make a damn good time of it. What ho.

We're leaving in less than 48 hours. I'm packing now, and doing other various preparations. Funny, the closer the date comes, the less nervous I get. I feel comfortable now, despite being able to speak a very meager amount of Japanese. That's a good thing, right?

しんぱいしなくて、頑張るよ! Keep Vancouver warm for me.

  2. Dude, if you don't come back as Emperor, I will be slightly disappointed. Try not to forget about us when you get to the future.
